Stephen Clark, PT, DPT, MHS, OCS, MBA, has worked in the private
practice setting for many years since receiving his undergraduate from Ithaca
College
in 1987. His passion is helping physical therapy businesses grow
and thrive. He brings to the table an in-depth understanding of both general

specific business practices, gained through extensive first-hand
experience in the healthcare arena and graduate-level studies resulting in
a Master of
Health Science and a Master of Business Administration degree and
soon a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Dr. Stephen Clark is the founder and current CEO of Athletic Physical
Therapy (www.AthleticPT.com), a Los Angeles based sports medicine
practice with three locations. His proven management expertise
in marketing, business operations
and staff management have excelled his organization to the top in
a short period of time. He has a strong clinical background through
his work as a
director of physical therapy, supervising a physical therapy clinical
staff of ten, and working as a staff physical therapist. Dr. Stephen
Clark also has significant
business experience. He has raised capital for and successfully owned
and operated two physical therapy corporations. He has played a central
role in
a publicly held medical facility by doubling facility gross revenues
in 9 months, resulting in the company's first period of profitability,
and he has
served as project manager of the information technology systems for
a $3.5 million company.

A creative leader and manager, Dr. Stephen Clark knows how to perform
information technology and other critical analyses, design and manage budgets,
facilitate
corporate strategic planning, offer financial management and other
guidance, address immediate operational needs and engineer necessary turnarounds,

he was able

Dr. Stephen Clark is active in his professional association, APTA,
and is a member of the Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy Section. He
was Board
certified as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 1994 and is licensed
to practice physical therapy in California. He has experience providing expert
testimony and has consulted with Fitness Concepts in Beijing China
as well
as private practitioners throughout the US.
