Stephen Clark, PT, DPT, MHS, OCS, MBA
- CEO and Founder
Dr. Stephen Clark is recognized as one of the premier sports medicine
physical therapists in the nation having successfully treated Olympic,
professional, and collegiate athletes. One of the few Board Certified
Physical Therapists in the country representing the top two percent
of the profession, Dr. Stephen Clark has devoted the past 17 years
of his career to treating and caring for injured people. An avid
athlete who has successfully recovered from four knee surgeries,
one shoulder surgery, one thumb surgery, and three broken ankles,
Dr. Stephen Clark knows how difficult it is to live with a debilitating
injury. Thus, his philosophy is to partner with the patient to achieve
his or her goal of returning to sports and activities of choice
free from pain or dysfunction.
Education is the solid foundation for Dr. Stephen Clark's practice.
Dr. Stephen Clark holds an undergraduate degree in physical therapy
from Ithaca College, a Master's in Health Science from the University
of Indianapolis, an MBA in Healthcare Management from California
State University San Marco, and a Doctorate from Western University.
He holds a National Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinical
Specialist. Dr. Stephen Clark's commitment to education coupled
with years of practical experience enables him to deliver patients
the best possible care.
Prior
to opening Athletic Physical Therapy, Dr. Stephen Clark served as
the Los Angeles-based Director of Physical Therapy at the Sports
Club Company, as the president and founder of Golden Triangle Rehabilitation
in La Jolla, CA, as well as the president of Steve Clark Seminars—a

Stephen Clark is an active member of organizations including the
American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Orthopedic
