Neha Shah, MPT, Orthopedic Physical
Therapist
Neha Shah studied physical therapy at California State University,
Northridge, where she earned a Master’s Degree with distinction.
Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide range of physical
problems common to athletes and weekend warriors, including sprains,
repetitive strain, otver-use injuries, pre- and post-operative care,
etc.
Neha understands that all injured athletes share one common trait:
the desire to return to their sport or activity quickly and confidently.
She believes there are three elements to achieving this desire:
(a) thorough evaluation of the injury, (b) high-quality hands-on
care, and (c) teaching patient’s safe body mechanics to help
prevent future injuries.
“The
only thing I find more fulfilling than helping people recover from
injury is helping them perform their activity better and stronger
than before. That’s why I love practicing physical therapy.
It’s a uniquely powerful tool that expedites the healing process
and provides people greater body awareness.”
Neha stays current with advances in physical therapy through continuing
education courses in pilates, functional mechanics of the lower-body,
biomechanics of the foot/orthoses, and spinal/peripheral mobilization.
She is also pursuing certification as an orthopedic/sports clinical
specialist.
A Southern California native, Neha enjoys hiking, biking, snowboarding,
and yoga. She also volunteers with Big Sisters of America.
