Daniel
brings an extensive array of knowledge and sports medicine experience
to Athletic Physical Therapy. Prior to joining the staff at Athletic
Physical Therapy’s Westlake Village Center, he was the Head
Athletic Trainer for both the Women’s Volleyball and Softball
teams at Cal State University of Chico during the 2005 season.
He also assisted in the care of various other teams during the
fall and spring seasons.
In 2004-05, Daniel spent a year as the Head Athletic Trainer
at Chico High School. Prior to that, Daniel worked at the professional
athletic level while working as an athletic trainer with the

2002 and 2003 seasons. He has also worked with the Asteriks AMA
Supercross Medical Staff, West Coast Sports Medicine Foundation
and Orthopedic Clinic of Manhattan Beach, L.A. City & L.A.
Pierce Colleges, as well as a number of sports camps. He even
worked as an athletic trainer and provided on site care on two
motion pictures, “Benchwarmers,” a baseball movie,
and “All You’ve Got,” a volleyball movie.
To complement his extensive on-field experience, Daniel also
brings an impressive educational background to our practice.
In 2002 he received his B.A. in Kinesiology with an emphasis
in Athletic Training from Cal State University at Northridge.
In 2004 Daniel obtained two major certifications in the fields
of sports medicine & strength and conditioning. He became
a Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers
Association and was recognized as a Certified Strength and Conditioning
Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
He continued his pursuit for higher education by obtaining his
Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic
Training and he graduated with honors from Cal State University
at Chico in 2006. The American Heart Association certifies him
in basic life support, CPR, and AED administration.
From all of Dan’s unique experiences in sports medicine,
he feels, “Working directly with various athletic teams
and individuals has given me the opportunity to develop the skills
necessary for the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of
all types of orthopedic injuries.”
Daniel’s other areas of interest include traveling, snowboarding,
music, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
